Corian® vanity top
Corian® vanity tops - design for eternity
Designers of modern furniture and architecture are always looking for the extraordinary, the new, the unprecedented. This is a strong drive for new design ideas. They experiment with shapes and materials in order to achieve the optimum for a particular product. Sometimes these experiments unexpectedly lead to the breakthrough of a new material. This is what happened to the solid surface material Corian® in the late 1960s. Introduced to the market by the DuPont company in 1967, Corian® quickly became the favorite of industrial designers such as Ross Lovegrove, Ingo Maurer and Philippe Starck. The reason is simple: Corian® is extremely easy to work with. The solid surface material consists of one-third acrylic resin and two-thirds natural materials extracted from bauxite - an ore. Corian® is lighter than materials such as glass, granite or marble. In addition, it can be milled and cut like wood and can also be joined without joints and thermally deformed into all dimensions. These advantages helped industrial designers create numerous everyday objects from Corian®. From small pieces of jewelry and accessories to tables and chairs to large-scale facade cladding. The hygienic superiority of the material was also quickly discovered. Since it is both non-porous and can be processed without joints, germs do not stand a chance on the surface. It is therefore not surprising that Corian® is used in kitchens, laboratories and operating rooms. A particularly popular area of application for Corian® is the bathroom. Here, the composite material is used for shower surfaces, bathtubs, washbasins and vanity tops.
With a Corian® vanity top, individuality moves in
Since the bathroom is also becoming increasingly important as a lounge for many a wellness session, yoga class or daily weight training, individuality is more in demand here than ever before. Today, hardly anyone wants a standard bathroom like everyone else has. And that is only understandable, because the needs and usage habits in the bathroom are as different as the people themselves. If you choose a washbasin that consists of a Corian® shelf and a surface-mounted washbasin, you will certainly stand out from the crowd. Choose from the manufacturer Spa Ambiente your 12 cm thick Corian® washbasin top in one of the trendy decors in black, concrete gray or white in widths between 80 and 200 cm and depths between 35 and 55 cm. If you still can't find the right size for your bathroom situation among the preconfigured offers, simply order your Corian® washbasin made to measure without any complications and you will receive your finished unique piece delivered to your home within just six weeks. Special designs, for example for a niche, are also possible, as the material can be processed without joints. Corian® vanity tops are all-rounders
In addition to a completely individually designed washbasin, a custom-made Corian® washbasin adds further plus points: The solid surface material not only looks great, but also impresses with its good properties. These include the fact that it is particularly hygienic and easy to maintain. The non-porous surface means that mold and bacteria have no chance of settling in. The Corian® washbasin is also very durable, insensitive to impacts and erosion-resistant. Should a small spot nevertheless occur, it can even be repaired.
